I feel as if I am just trying to do what it says in The hypnotherapy session but it’s as if I’m outside it!
Great response team to help me troubleshoot the app but I don’t think the price point was the right amount for me.
So far I like the app (still in week 1) but I think the e-mails in addition to daily readings are a little too much
Liked the first hypnotherapy session

No i do not want to record my symptoms daily. Yes I would like info on IBS, but no I will not feed answers into your AI to get it. Surely you are already charging enough from this to warrant not collecting our data? Honestly the only saving grace is that it actually works. This is my second round a few years before my first which was life-changing for me. But in saying that if I need another round in the future and another provider exists then I will be going with them instead of Nerva.

I was initially reluctant to subscribe due to the expense, but a 30% reduction from my doctor’s referral and a preference for a drug-free treatment persuaded me to try it. Was disappointed to find that it was actually only a 6 week program with 44 weeks of support. I started doing the sessions daily but then decreased my frequency to stretch out the program. The support emails and reminders do not match your actual progress through the program, they mirror your initial stated commitment to it. However, I did experience improvement from the very first session, and feel more in control due to an increased understanding of the mind-gut connection and some techniques for symptom management. 4/5 for the program itself. 2/5 for the administration of the program and not having the option to pay for the program then subscribe weekly for support.

It’s great but had to stop. $200 a year is just too expensive for something like this. $40 a month, if you go that route, is crazy. Netflix is half the cost and this is just a few recordings versus all the media they make. If it had real person/ therapist support that would make it better, but it’s the same recordings (it’s been explained to me, and I get why it’s that way) most days. I really do not get where they’re pulling this $200 a year price from. They have this program where it’s free if you’re poor, but most people do not qualify and still don’t have $200 a year to spend on something like this. I am in this boat. Medical greed once again.

The good: Hypnotherapy here works well. The bad: the app. I’m not sure who is in charge of IT for the app but 5 years and every update has broken something different. Constantly relaunching the app just to get a single hypnotherapy to load. Green screen of death or a spinning loading screen that takes dozens of times just to play the 12 min session. Adding AI in the latest update is just the icing on the cake. Why anyone at Nerva thinks we want AI therapy is beyond me. Considering the cost of this program I really expected better.
when i was completing all the starting details o was so excited to receive help from this app - suddenly its 149 pounds a year! i cant afford that! i jist wsnt from free helo is that too much to ask
The explanation & hypnotherapy are very good but I am not experiencing any changes yet but I am only on week two. I am listening to the hypnotherapy twice a day every day.
I was finding the app to be helpful. Then many changes in content occurred that made it less interesting, less effective at stress reduction and less enjoyable. Why not allow users to be able to access all of the former content that was better -…
I was finding the app to be helpful. Then many changes in content occurred that made it less interesting, less effective at stress reduction and less enjoyable. Why not allow users to be able to access all of the former content that was better - including the former introductory portions of each days session?

A few years ago I used this app and it helped me very much. I recently purchased another one-year subscription as a “top up” and a week or so into the subscription they updated the app. I don’t like the voice as much in the hypnotherapy sessions and I don’t like the content as much. It is not effective now. Not the great product that it was, at least for me. Expensive too.

Didn’t work for me. I understand the theory behind it but some of the hypnotherapy sessions just aren’t relevant to my climate (too British) or taste. There’s no ability to select the types of sessions you could visualise the best (and thus would be more open to hearing repeated each week). It might be a good starting point for someone with no prior knowledge or experience in general meditation or stress management techniques, but for those with any prior knowledge or experience in these areas might find this app less than useful.
For the amount of money this app costs, I really wish there was more variety in the session. The first two weeks just get repeated over and over again.
The sessions get very repetitive after the first few weeks. I especially hate the “5 things you can see, hear, smell” one that lasts forever and makes you do it like 5 times. I don’t get why I need to pay $200 for a year for an app when the program…

Somewhat helpful in the first few weeks or month, but becomes very mundane and repetitive if you are ADHD , it is boring !! The woman’s voice and style of talking is very good. Just wish they would change the lead in , to each hypnotherapy session!

After using it for a year, it’s helped my severe IBS and I’m in the habit of taking care of it through self-hypnotherapy or meditation. I love this program, but the subscription model isn’t appropriate. Even if it were a 1-time payment for the same price, I can get the same type of content, recordings, and services elsewhere for less.
Given the glowing reviews I downloaded and paid... honestly, the meditations simply repeat over and over. Wayyyy too much money for this app and I haven't experienced any change in my IBS. ..
The sessions are highly repetitive.Even after week 2 I found the sessions were repeating. This isn't good value for money app. I tried the low fodmap app and found it much more straightforward and easy to use.
Good meditation tool, the key is to use it everyday; however sometimes the hypnotherapy session doesn’t play. In less than a month it’s already happened 3 times to me. It’s frustrating.
Very annoying that the app moves along each day, even when you haven’t completed previous session. Ie my app is showing ‘week 3’ but actually in terms of activities I’m only up to week 2. Incredibly annoying that you have to go such a long way round…

I purchased the annual subscription ($200). What they don’t tell you is there’s only six weeks of content built into the app and you were just expected to repeat each cycle of six weeks. I think this is a rip off and definitely I think that the app should have options to purchase three month subscription or six month subscription.
This has helped and I’ve seen some Improvement but the price is way too much for a 6 week course with this little improvement. Should be a longer course with more hypnotherapy recordings or a cheaper price

Nerva is a self-guided gut-directed hypnotherapy program that works with the gut–brain connection. Reviews describe individual experiences; clinical research looks at outcomes across a group. Explore Nerva’s published research to understand the evidence and what was measured. Individual results vary.
Some members discuss bloating in their reviews, including how it affected everyday life and their experience with the program. Read the selected reviews mentioning bloating. These personal experiences cannot predict your own results.
Nerva focuses on the gut–brain connection, while a low FODMAP diet focuses on dietary triggers. They are different approaches. Read more about low FODMAP and Nerva, and discuss dietary changes with your dietitian or clinician.
The program uses guided audio sessions you can listen to in a quiet place. Members describe different ways of making time for it. Explore their experiences of building a routine, or see how the program works.
