Good app, we’ll designed and presented, but didn’t give me the results I wanted.
The app tries to cater for the very broad range of ibs symptoms so I think I found it hard to relate to the sessions as they referred to symptoms which simply don’t apply to me or are the polar opposite of my experience. Would have been better to have an ibs d or ibs c option to ensure that the sessions are more tailor made to your profile.
With only six sessions repeated, it does get a bit tedious too. I’m sure that there is merit to the repetition, but ultimately they become harder to engage with when you feel like you could repeat the session yourself verbatim.

I love this app! I have SIBO, not IBS, but it has still helped me de-stress and has improved symptoms. Unfortunately, it’s SO expensive. I’m already shelling out what is essentially the cost of another mortgage each month for doctors visits, supplements, etc, so as useful as this is I just can’t do it. Wish some of the resources out there for GI issues were more budget-friendly!

Very informative readings, the voice sessions are nice and relaxing but don't help my IBS. Seems a little pricey for what it is but I guess it helps some other people.

The app is pretty good, there’s a mix between education pieces and hypnotherapy.
However there are some small UI issues which need a bit more polish. And the main issue is that it’s the same hypnotherapy recording on repeat for every 7 days. I’ve just finished week 2 so only heard 2 recordings so far.
It is very difficult to keep focused after 4-5 days of the same recording. This is the biggest issue I see with the app at present and I really hope they add some differentiation or reduce the time for the same recordings to 4/5 days instead of 7.
I would still recommend using the app as it seems to be helping. But yeah still kinda rough around the edges.

It is challenging for me to relax especially when I am being asked to do so. I feel the pressure to accomplish something that it’s not easy for me to do. I seem to respond much better to the word CALM instead. In other hypnosis practices they use different ways to get someone to relax like going down and down the stairs. Do you have any ideas that can help me to relax? Otherwise I do like the meditation. Thanks.
I continue to have a challenge with the expectation to relax. I think using another word, maybe something like, “my arms starting to soften”. Soften, soften a little...this language does not feel like pressure. Otherwise, I continue to like the content. Thanks.
I do like the content of the mediation. I wish there was a different way to help people to relax. Using a different language like CALM, or SOFTEN... soften a little. This way there is no pressure or feeling like I’m not accomplishing something I’m supposed to do. But like I said the content of all the meditations are really good.

I’ve been using the app for the free trial and have signed up and paid for 3 months as I can see how this might start helping my IBS, which I’ve had for 16 years. I wouldn’t put a price on a treatment that actually works, however I think the app is overpriced for what it does. It’s 6 recorded hypnotherapies that you listen to over 6 days, and repeat. There is also some information about IBS - which if you’ve suffered as long as I have, will all be stuff you know.
Personally, I think they could be helping a lot more people if they reduced the price. It’s currently £47 for 3 months! Most expensive app I’ve ever signed up for. Also, why not have more membership options? £12 for 1 month, £33 for 3 months, £60 for 6 months ? I think more people would try it and stick to it, and that’s the pay format most health apps use!

“IT WILL BE AS IF...YOU ARE IN A DREAM. In this dream...” After the free week trial I assumed that there would be a variety of sessions. I was wrong. The user is guided through the same four sessions, over and over and over, for 6 weeks. The only variety is the little text blurb. The sheer boredom of imagining myself in a pharmacy, on a veranda, on a swing, and looking at mountains made doing a session feel like a chore by a few weeks in, as well as caused my mind to wander during sessions. Think there is some really good cognitive behavioral training here, but ideally it would be less brutally dull to sit through day by day after a few weeks. Gotta be a hugely profitable app for the developers given that they recorded 4 sessions and wrote a bunch of short blurbs for almost $100 a pop - that’s a scalable business! “YOU’RE JUST GOING TO GET BETTAH...AND BETTAH...AND BETTAH...all of the time.”

Hi I’ve found this helps with relaxation and constipation. However you can get stuck on the same day over and over if you don’t go into the app on the ‘correct’ day, eg if you want to recap something from the previous week, so this slows progress through the program. A tweek to allow you to correct this or stop it happening would be great.

I can’t really comment on whether this has improved my symptoms as I’m on week 3.
What I can comment on is, every time I get I to the relaxed state, the app crashes (every day) and I have to restart the whole thing again and skip to as close to the place I was. Which kind of defeats the purpose of feeling relaxed.
The first 2 weeks seemed to be fine and I was really enjoying it. But haven’t been able to get into the relaxed state again because of the crashing.

I thought this app was somewhat helpful, but could have offered a lot more for the price. The informational sections were pretty basic, and I would have liked to have more different recordings, or at least the option to move ahead sooner. I overall enjoyed the meditations, but they would be better if they were more descriptive- I would find myself trying to figure out the transitions, which was distracting (like how did I get to the river in the distance in just a few steps?). What I’m really upset about right now is that I was charged $75 for an auto-renewal I didn’t know about. I thought I had just signed up for 3 months!!

It’s fair enough to say one is paying for clinically proven therapy but how about putting the costs upfront as this caught me out as well. It is good that people are given a trial before full payments but allowing people to explore the app to build trust before committing can be a good thing.
Cheers.
