Still early days but it definitely seems to be helping!
Seems to be helping already! Excited to see if I can improve my IBS with this. I couldn’t handle the low FODMAP diet.
Has really helped with my IBS so far. Having tried the low FODMAP with no success I’m surprised at the results

Nerva has been great so far. It’s very doable, in only 15 minutes a day, and the guided hypnosis sessions relax me more than other meditation apps I have tried. I just wish there were more options for symptoms to enter, because the list they provided (which the AI uses in session) isn’t comprehensive of what I experience. I have functional dyspepsia and IBS, and my primary symptom is an abdominal burning pain that wakes me from sleep. They should also let you change your symptoms as you progress through the program, because symptoms aren’t static. I had constipation, and the AI keeps mentioning that, but I don’t any more. It’s on an off. My main symptom is the burning pain, not bowel movement issues. Finally, since many IBS patients also have IC, it would be helpful if they could expand the app for that too. When you have IBS, it’s rarely limited to such a narrow range of symptoms. If they fixed that, I would give 5 stars.

It is 15th week of practicing Hypnosis program for IBS. Happy to report that I am free from IBS. Thanks But when I have very stressful days or events I experience regressions

The app has really helped me especially with urgency which I’ve had for years. The relaxation part - sense I find really annoying, when you have to imagine sounds there is no break in the talk to allow you to do this. After a few times it should have less prompts, the same dialogue is used every time. Also in the maintenance phase you can choose the hypnotherapy sessions you like but not the relaxation part. I think I’ll just be searching through the weeks to find the ones I like best.
Despite scepticism, this plan seems to be having an improving effect. It would be nice to have a bit more variation in the meditations though, as although repetition is the key, they do get a bit dull and boring.

I found it out of kilter with my own environment/ climate- we don’t have mountains, would never allow sun on face due to melanoma risk, rivers I imagine are blocked with trees from past flooding rain and a creak or narrow stream would have been a better fit. But the suggestions are otherwise excellent and hopefully helpful

When I started a little over 3 weeks ago I thought I was calmer and my digestive system seemed more relaxed. However over the last weeks I have had a lot of discomfort and pain. At times have been extremely uncomfortable with lot of wind. I have just completed a session. I do feel more relaxed and comfortable. .Still irregular bowel movement. I just hope that things will improve soon as it does wear me down.

Great app and concept. My only complaint is that the guided hypnotherapy tracks are not all original. They often repeat passages from the past tracks.
The hypnotherapy sessions are calming and my gut always feels better afterwards. This may be only temporary, but I believe that the longer I do them the longer it will last. I am only in week 2 so I have a way to go. The coaching and education is…

I am only in week 2 so I have a way to go. The coaching and education is somewhat interesting, though I know a lot of it already but it reinforces what I know and that’s beneficial. I’m hoping for some good progress in the next couple of weeks. I look forward to the work each day, sometimes doing the hypnotherapy twice/day. I am optimistic

First of all, I must admit I do feel better!! My over all nervous system seems more calm on a daily bases after 6 weeks. That is a really good thing since I thought I would be only working on my IBS. Secondly, my bowel is a little better. The formation is more condensed and larger which is good and the frequency is better. I topically will eliminate 4 times in the morning but hours apart and couldn’t always hold my bowel. I was a prisoner to my home till 10:00 or 11:00 every morning. Your program the last six weeks has gotten my frequencies down to two or three times in the morning. I would like to keep working with whatever you feel will add to this improvement and over all calmness. I do have a question for you. Should I try EVERY day to do just 15 minutes of breathing? I personally like the 5-5-5 exercise.
At first I thought this approach employing hypnosis was bunk, but a subtle improvement began in my IBS symptoms pretty early on.

I was very skeptical of hypnotherapy, until I actually gave it a try. Four weeks into the program, my symptoms had disappeared, and stayed clear for three full months. I am now in “maintenance phase”, and it’s honestly nothing short of amazing. Along with avoiding my known food triggers, this has been the most life-changing way to manage my condition. The only reason why I give this four and not five stars is because they removed my favorite calming intro (“breathe”), and also don’t ever seem to add any new content. There have been updates to the scripts that address the digestive system, but no new relaxation methods or new “dream scenarios”. I also personally don’t like the “shutting down your senses” method. It moves way too fast; it would be better if the senses focused on one thing and not multiple, and really take it in in its detail. I feel like I’m chasing around the room with my eyes and ears, jumping from one thing to another, so I never use the “sense” recordings anymore. Since “breathe” has disappeared too, that limits me even further in the relaxation methods on offer.

Really enjoyed the trail week & felt more comfortable in my gut I must admit. I even went to the toilet more than usual. Loved the meditations sessions even though a couple where repetitive. I only wish I could afford the $300 to pay for a year with the mental health side of it , which wasn’t including in the trail to see how that is unfortunately.
It is a good program and easy to use. With its daily check list and reminder, it keeps me doing it everyday. My biggest problem is that for $200 I should own the app. Not have to renew every year, which I will not do.

I feel the Nerva hypnotherapy sessions are already helping me even though this is only my second week of listening. It must be about 8 weeks and I will definitely continue to do these sessions. I have halved my intake of Nexium and am not suffering from reflux. In all the 8 weeks I’ve had 3 episodes of acute indigestion. Also my IBS symptoms have improved enormously. I have maybe 1 or 2 minor problems per fortnight. So I’m very happy with the results. I’ve been using the Nerva app now for about 14 weeks I guess. My condition has improved markedly. I haven’t had a problem for some weeks apart from an acute allergic reaction causing urticaria. I like using the app daily, if possible as it helps to remind me not to indulge in hyper vigilance or catastrophic thinking. I also take time to use diaphragmatic breathing at least twice per day.
The only real difference that would of given this app a 5-star review would be the repetitive sessions, I’d just like some more variety as well as the ability to choose what kind of hypnosis was going to be done in that days session. At least that’s…
The only real difference that would of given this app a 5-star review would be the repetitive sessions, I’d just like some more variety as well as the ability to choose what kind of hypnosis was going to be done in that days session. At least that’s what I’ve experienced in the initial course. Other than that, I really enjoyed the narrator, the ease of use & most of all, the little 3-5 minute reads to accompany the session. Will try my best to do this as frequently as possible going forward, personally I’m unsure if it’s helped much with actual symptoms - but my anxiety & ‘catastrophizing’ has certainly been reduced
