First, I’d like to say the education piece was spot on. I learned a lot, even though I thought I was pretty up on the topic. I initially really enjoyed the app and thought it was helping some. After a while I no longer felt able to stay focused at all due to the repetitiveness from one session to another. Plus, more than 3 weeks into it, I was unable to participate for over a week. I tried to start back up where I left off but the app did not have the capability to do that. It was then much harder to stay on track and the app started to not remember the sessions I had completed. I eventually did 6 weeks with only missing the week and a half in the middle. I felt it was worth a try, but unfortunately the program didn’t work for me and I felt the app itself was not what it should be considering the cost.

I like the app and the idea of gut-related hypnotherapy. I just wish the same verbal prompts weren’t repeated at the same points in the session every day. It’s distracting in that I’m repeating what she’s saying along with her. I have the “text” memorized. Only the visualization portion changes each day so far (I have done 7 days of it). I’m not sure whether to subscribe for the full year or not, but I am seeing some benefits. Repetitive prompts and wording are why I stopped using the headspace meditation app. He said the same thing every day, and I wasn’t focusing - I was repeating the words along with him. Only a small portion of his program changed. I went to using Calm for meditation because she changes it every day. She doesn’t say the same words over and over again. Nerva subscription is expensive. I’m hoping she doesn’t say the same thing every day for six weeks.
Updated in week 3. Maybe this app isn’t for me. She’s now repeating the visualizations too. I’m not an outdoorsy type person. Imagining I’m clearing my way through overgrown brush or bathing in a hot spring of mineral waters gives me anxiety. It does NOT relax me at all. I’m finding myself skipping parts of the repeated sessions or verbally disagreeing out loud with the “narrator”. I think I wasted my money. Is it too much to ask for fresh material every day?

The voice is annoying
It’s alright. I can’t quite get into it because the narrator doesn’t enunciate the “s” sound at the end of the words as if to try to sound more gentle but it honestly just bothers me. I’m a hypnotherapist myself and it just annoys me. She tries too…

It’s alright. I can’t quite get into it because the narrator doesn’t enunciate the “s” sound at the end of the words as if to try to sound more gentle but it honestly just bothers me. I’m a hypnotherapist myself and it just annoys me. She tries too hard to sound meditative and hypnotic. It makes me not want to use the program and I skip days so I really don’t know if it’s going to work for me. Oh well.

Please please please create more options for payments, would be so helpful. PLEASE 🙏

Not made for landscape view on iPads
This alone ruined my experience. It’s also expensive. Still, I might consider trying it again if I could use it on my iPad that is mounted in landscape view.

I'm in my fourth week of this six-week program, and have found a lot to like about it. I'm a fidgety meditator and find that this style and time limit work better for me. I get that repetition is part of it. But it seems like it wouldn't be THAT hard to record more versions of the narrator doing the relaxation and wrap-up periods. If you're a close listener like me you just start getting distracted by waiting for the little vocal tics you've heard over and over and over, which doesn't feel helpful or relaxing.

Value for money?
I tried for the free trial period, but all it seems to consist of is a daily 15 minute audio of guided relaxation, the likes of which you can easily find for free on YouTube. Not sure what the unique selling point is here

I’m on day 5. My first 4 sessions gave me an opportunity to look within myself and address my anxiety issues. I’m stoked to listen to my recording this evening and reflect on what tonight’s lesson teaches me. My gut struggles have been lessened significantly. Not that I don’t have to watch what I eat but I can now eat without fear. That’s after 4 sessions. Mentally I feel stronger, I have excellent natural supports at home as well, which has also been a great help. At this point I highly recommend that anyone who has gut issues to give the program a try. I know there are no guarantees, but when I saw that Monash also supports this program it gave me the confidence to give it a try. I had read some information regarding the gut brain connection; once I looked more into this I was able to appreciate the science behind this program as well. I feel to be successful you have to be honest with yourself and seriously look within and address your emotional shortcomings. Best wishes to all of you who have similar struggles.

I think this is a wonderful program but you’ve only given us 6 weeks of content - a good deal of which is redundant. Why are you charging for a 3 month subscription? It doesn’t make any sense.

I love the program especially the 4-5th week with sensation coming down as I am always highly sensitive for all sensations. I don’t think it is helpful for someone like me being a nature person to talk about clean, tidy, park etc. I calm down in wild flower meadows, the forest etc.
I also am very bad still, not worse then the beginning but not better with my diareah. The calming effect of the hypnotherapy is not having an effect on my physical symptoms.
Therefor I gave 3 stars.
I am aware I have to see my docter but it is near I possible to get hold of her. I have very little energy and get all colds etc that are around me, so my immune system is really not good.

I’m not really the one to ask for a review yet. I’ve only been using this for a few days and on trial. I am trying to find out if the VA will help me pay for the app or if the app offers veteran discount but as of right now I don’t have an extra $150 unless I take it out of our bill and food budget. So anyways I will continue to use it until my trail is over and I hope to find a way to continue using it because I am a strong believer that private practice and the freemarket system can offer solutions that actually help until what the Veterans hospital is currently offering. So it will be back to give an update on this app in the near future.

It feels strange to begin with and it can be hard to immerse yourself in the process. I have to really engage my imagination and senses to convince myself but the more I achieve that the easier it has gotten and the better it works. All my symptoms have definitely improved. I don’t suffer from the same level of pain I did before. The maintenance program works well for me and the initial cost and effort to follow the program seems to have been a great investment in my health. How ever upon writing this review I lost access to the maintenance program that only gives you access to the pre recorded sessions of hypnotherapy to use at your convenience. $199.00 every 3 months is way way way to much for access to these sessions and I feel like I’ve become reliant on them to reach the level of relaxation I was achieving and will struggle to achieve similar results on my own. I’m glad I did it and didn’t mind the initial cost which was actually cheaper. I cannot believe the ridiculous price of the maintenance program. If it was $150 for the year I might consider it worth it but cannot afford almost $70 a month for recordings. Even if I could afford it I don’t think I’d be able to justify it. Sad for me. I won’t be renewing and I will now have to unsubscribe my email not to receive pesky reminders to renew.

My impressions
I am not sure I am being hypnotized but I’m following instructions. I seem to be having very large, very loose BMs without pushing. Still very frequent over first 2 hours awake. May be emptying more. 🤞and look forward to more progress.

This is a great app! I feel better overall. I learned a lot, and I liked the meditations. However, $78.99 is only for three months. I received no notification, no warning that it would renew automatically (although it was probably in terms & conditions). This is ridiculous. I saved my favorite meditations and I will just meditate using Spotify. Also, it recommended the Monash university app- which I haven’t gotten much use out of. I requested a refund for the renewal. You can find similar self hypnoses online and learn about IBS. This stuff works, but watch out for the auto renewal

I think the idea of this app is fantastic and guided imagery is definitely a great way to control some of the symptoms. That said, it is very challenging to be consistent, especially when so many of the meditations are repeated over and over. For the expense, variety should be included and perhaps shorter sessions so they are easier to maintain.

Nice meditations, pretty repetitive though
Doesn’t really seem like traditional hypnosis, which would be nice. Similar meditations can be found free on YouTube. Would be nice if the readings were available in audio form. I never read them.
