Nerva Review
Readings are interesting - process is simple and easy to follow. Hard to tell after 2 weeks if it is working or not tbh. But it’s a good app 👍🏽

I am already noticing a reduction in the anxious feelings that I have been experiencing and the IBS symptoms have definitely eased hence my sigh of relief as I have been suffering with this for some time.
I have PI IBS and believe a lot of my issues stem from the trauma of the original infection. So hypnotherapy might help! I haven’t noticed a change in symptoms yet, but I love the recordings. The visuals are great and I find myself returning to them…
I have PI IBS and believe a lot of my issues stem from the trauma of the original infection. So hypnotherapy might help! I haven’t noticed a change in symptoms yet, but I love the recordings. The visuals are great and I find myself returning to them mentally throughout the day. The voices are soothing. (I actually prefer the original Australian but the British is nice too. American next?) I want to read more articles on hypnotherapy. I don’t know if I am successfully entering a hypnotic state. The meditation is good anyway. I admit I haven’t used it every day, more like a few times a week. Between the reading, breathing exercise, and recording, week 2 sessions are 30+ minutes long, which is a lot to set aside every day especially for someone new to this. I wish you could choose between a short or long session depending on the day. Also, I’m a planner so I would like to be able to preview later weeks.
In week five and I’ve had some improvement. I do enjoy the hypnotherapy session but I could do without the Kiwi accent. Truly awful. Which in turn makes me feel bad about finding it irritating.

I am really enjoying these sessions
I’m still waiting to see improvement in IBS but am enjoying relaxation.
I’ve been using this app for almost a year. I find it calming & meditative. I can recommend.

This is my first week using Nerva Hypnosis. I started with doubts, having spent my whole life coping with IBS-D and searching for relief. I am an 84 year old retired trauma Informed mental health counselor. I am also a complex trauma survivor. During this first week I am noticing subtle changes in my conscious awareness of tension in my body and in my outlook on life. I am using breath many times during the day to relieve tension. I am also feeling a fragile sense of hope that I could feel better living with this body for the rest of my life❣️ I have been using NERVA hypnosis and breathing techniques for more than a year now. It has been a very challenging year for me at 85 and 1/2 years of age….many losses including my home and most of my belongings in Hurricane Helene. I use a hypnosis session every morning as my body awakens to tension and bowel activity. I seldom have explosive diarrhea anymore and for the first time in my life that I can remember, I experience regular formed bowel movements. I still have IBS symptoms during the day but am able to reassure myself that they are not a dangerous illness. Then I am able to cope with the symptoms with breathing and go on with my day. Eating is still a challenge as many foods in the USA exacerbate my symptoms. I have been using a plant based nutritional supplement from a company in California called Kate Farms which has helped me maintain my weight and soothes my digestive system. I am so grateful to have Nerva hypnosis sessions always available to help me cope with stress and anxiety in my everyday life. I can imagine using them also to ease my way through the dying process when that occurs for me. Thankyou NERVA❣️
These sessions help you to relax and to focus on the breath. It’s my ´me time’.
Good to be back after a break. Swing is a very helpful image. Turning down the focus a helpful aid to my ADHD
Love the feeling of calmness through my body
I’ve been doing this programme when I get into bed at night and find it calming.
Good, but turning up the volume at the end is a bit too much.
Very calming and good relaxation method but yet to know if it will help my symptoms
6 weeks in, and I’d say I’m 50/60% better than before I started the program.
I feel the Nerva hypnotherapy sessions are already helping me even though this is only my second week of listening.

Over all I really enjoyed it throughout. I really loved the readings, getting to learn all about the science behind a lot of the things I experience and understanding what’s going on with my symptoms was really reassuring. I feel that they were quite repetitive and often over simplistic. The diagrams were great but I think it would have been great to have had a chance to go a bit deeper into the science behind the mind gut connection, IBS and meditation rather than repeating the same few snippets of information over and over again. I loved the guided meditations, I really thought the visualisations and the suggestions were very well done. I definitely saw an improvement in my symptoms after week 2 and when I did experience symptoms I felt more in control of the outcome, and not over run by my condition. It’s a great feeling. My only slight gripe (and it is incredibly slight) with it is that the lessons move on each day, making you feel left behind if you miss one. This may only be an issue for me but I found myself getting stressed about missing one and falling off the momentum, I would’ve preferred to do it at my own pace. At the beginning I ‘signed on’ for a 5 day a week commitment but if you don’t do every day the app doesn’t ‘wait for you’ so I was always catching up. My favourite thing is that it doesn’t dismiss the need for medication and the input of healthcare professionals. I find a lot of holistic healing can be very all or nothing which isn’t helpful. I am grateful that this approach markets itself as just that... an approach. Not a cure, just a management tool for symptoms. Basically, I love it. It is pricey but worth it if you can afford it!

I feel as if I am just trying to do what it says in The hypnotherapy session but it’s as if I’m outside it!
Seems good programme but I haven't relaxed completely yet. Need more time I guess.
