In this webinar, Mindset Health’s Claire Davidson talks with Dr. Simone Peters about diagnosing IBS, the gut-brain axis, and gut-directed hypnotherapy. Together, they dive into the research and Dr. Peters discusses recent strides in accessibility.

This webinar is designed for a clinical audience; it will provide an expert overview of gut-directed hypnotherapy and guidance on how it can fit into your clinical practice.

Dr. Peters works for Alfred Health and the Monash University FODMAP Research Team. While working with Monash University, Dr. Peters became aware of the potential for psychological therapies to improve gastrointestinal symptoms in people with gastrointestinal disorders. She went on to complete her Ph.D examining the role of gut-directed hypnotherapy as a treatment for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Dr. Peters was the first gut-directed hypnotherapist to be employed in the public healthcare system in Australia. She runs the Gut-Directed Hypnotherapy Program in Melbourne, Australia at the Alfred Hospital Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders Clinic.

Dr. Peters is also the creator of the Nerva program and is on the scientific advisory board at Mindset Health.
